Re: Inexpensive Home Defense Shotgun

Of course my use of the Navy was an exaggeration. But this neighbor does not have an Army behind him either. I was simply stating a projection of force can go a long way. Never did I say to flaunt the weapon. Flaunting would be knocking on his door and showing it to him, running down the street screaming 'look at my new shotgun'. Calling the neighbor and reminding him of your new pretty purchase. I don't think I was saying that in the least.

I recommend you don't flaunt it, just make it clear what you have.

Re: Inexpensive Home Defense Shotgun

The pawn shop is a good source, just understand pawn 101. Nothing goes out the door at marked price. If they don't haggle, there is another down the street. If you don't haggle then they will not pull the hook out of your mouth when you leave.

You know why the Navy sends aircraft carriers to countries with problems? Just the sight and knowledge that it is there goes a long ways.

Good luck to your friend.
This will either deter the neighbor, or let him know that the disagreement has now been escalted to a gun fight.

I would be real careful if you choose to do this.
Understood, but obviously the neighbor has zero understanding of what the victim is capable of. This is a 50/50 proposition, but the neighbor will now know. Call my bluff.
