Re: Berry Bullets Oily?

As an update, whatever was on the bullets must have been volatile. I left the box open overnight and the bullets are dry now. Even the puddle in the bottom of the box is gone. I also opened the other boxes up all those were dry. Bullets seemed to load fine.

Re: Berry Bullets Oily?

I bought these from Cabela's. 250 ct black plastic boxes firmly sealed with Berrys stickers. I also got some 45 acp and 38 cast. I didn't open the 45 but the 38 were dry. Seemed odd being that wet.

Berry Bullets Oily?

Fellows, I opened up a box of 9mm hp Berry plated bullets last night. It's my first time to use these. The berry's were really wet to the point of dripping with some sort of lubricant. I have used other brands of plated with good success but they bullets have always been dry just sime to fmj or even...

Re: Fired Worker Wouldn't Leave

I had a similar situation happen a few years ago. A guy was let go, left, got to thinking about it and came back to argue. VP wasn't there. He wanted to yell at the receptionist. I don't know how she was supposed to make the VP magically appear. I walked up behind the receptionist desk and asked him...

Re: Question about the Stack-On Gun Cabinets

I use a stack on for my rifles. It mainly keeps them out of sight and way from the kids. I drilled new holes in the back and securely mounted it in a unobtrusive location. I figure someone will have to work a bit to get at it and they will already be tired from carting off my tv and electronics.

Re: Attack - Calming your nerves

I read a book a couple years ago "Deep Survival" by Laurence Gonzales that really helped me understand how the brain responds to extreme suvivor level stress and how training could affect that by providing a mental map/plan for the situation. A month or so after reading the book, I was bit...

Re: Misidentified as a Drug Mule

I can see where you could get trapped with the search if they found something. I was sure at the time of the encounter that I had nothing to be concerned over.

Eye Protection

I'm planning on taking a carbine and pistol course this spring. I wear prescription glasses. I've worn them for my chl, range trips and the previous training. Would I be better off picking up a pair of prescription safety glasses? Has anyone had issues with regular eye wear? Do you use side shields?...

Re: 6 month after recieving my license ...

I know this is an old thread. I'm new here and don't have many posts. So what will my 2 cents hurt? I obtained a CHL when I was first available to do so. I was a young guy physically fit and single. 90% of the places I went I couldn't carry. I didn't renew. Years later I was threatened with attack i...

Re: Open carry on your own property??

On rural property I wouldn't sweat it. I would try to conceal the gun a little if I was right next to a road, ie carry in hand away from road. In suburbs I would definitely keep it concealed. It would just be easier than dealing with the drama. On the shotgun issue, I think back to when I was first ...

Re: Bad things happen fast, and training pays

I've seen animals do odd things at corn feeders. I think they get focused on feeding on the corn or pursuit of something that normally feeds on the corn and loose a lot of caution. People are only at the feeder on a rare occasion. I suspect the coyote charged the feeder after hearing something messi...

Misidentified as a Drug Mule

This happened several years ago. The whole situation was odd. My girl friend (now wife) was attended a local college and staying in a dorm. She was an older college student in her late 20's who had tried college unsuccessfuly a couple times before, had given up for a while, and was then back fully c...
