Re: Problems with DPS receiving fingerprints
The more I think about the situation, the more I am convinced that this "problem" is by design. Some applicants are quickly approved for the CHL, while others are completely ignored? I have my suspicions what is behind all of this. I just wish the gov't could have played their political games either before or after I received my license. Oh well, "Mister G-Man, I can outwait you... all I have is time. You're the one on the clock!"

Re: Problems with DPS receiving fingerprints
No! That is NOT what I am EXPERIENCING. I had my fingerprints taken just like you. Even had the picture taken with L1 for facial-recognition, probably just like EVERYONE else. However, I'm NOT getting my CHL like everyone else. Hope you guys are enjoying being taken around the rest of us that were unfortunate enough to even THINK about applying for the CHL at evidenly ,THE WRONG TIME. Yea, I'm pretty upset... why shouldn't I be? You would be, too! Go get your plastic out of your mailbox... while I fight with DPS about why I cant have my money back! I got screwed and you didnt. Simple as that, I really dont care what anybody says.

"This Texas.gov service is temporarily down for maintenance.

WOW, they must have unplugged the cord before going home tonight. Well, at least it LOOKS like they are doing something. First rule of being a gov't employee: LOOK BUSY.

Re: Problems with DPS receiving fingerprints
Tried saying that... No help. To analogize: I am in the supermarket checkout line that just had a scanner break down and they wont let me change to another lane. But if anyone comes up behind me, they will accept them in a the lane that is working. They tell me I have to wait for the scanner to be repaired... but they wont or cant tell me how long that will be, just to " please be patient". Problem is, they already have my money!

Re: Problems with DPS receiving fingerprints
No. You shouldnt have any problem, people after us are going right on through. When I mentioned others on this forum after us are getting their plastic, the guy basically called you guys liars. I said I dont have any reason to not believe the other forum members. He assured me that you are lying. So, anyone with fingerprints taken after July 8, 2011, is lying about receiving a CHL according to DPS.

WOW! Look at ALL the people that this problem is happening to. (that's called sarcasm, DPS) Thanks again DPS, for really giving ME the treatment. Don't get too close to me, ladies and gentlemen, some stink may rub off on you.

Problems with DPS receiving fingerprints
Is anyone else having problems with DPS not receiving electronic fingerprints? Contacted L1, they state that the fingerprints have been sent to DPS. Contact DPS, they state they are having a "computer glitch" and that hundreds (not just mine, they assure) of fingerprints are behind a "wall" and that IT has to pull them from behind this wall one by one. Sounds like a crock of crap to me. If this isnt happening to any others, then I will just assume that it is only DPS jacking with me. My tax dollars hard at work!! Is there someway I can get my money back???
