Re: Starbucks on 2/14/12

Due to weird circumstances, I wound up working today, so instead of a leisurely mid morning breakfast, I had lunch there: quadruple espresso; bagel with cream cheese; and a brownie for dessert. Didn't see anyone else carrying concealed.

I'm going to start buying coffee for her from Stat Buck's immediately :thumbs2:

My Doctor tried pulling that crap on me. He agreed I could have one cup a day. LOL... I went out and bought a 16 oz coffee cup. You should see that thing...it is huge! He put me on a daily regimine of 40mg of Omeprazole twice daily and a stuff that coats your stomach called sucralfate 1 gram four times daily. But hey!!! I get to have my coffee.
My doctor told me I had to cut back from my 8 to 12 cups a day, so I switched to a double espresso in the morning.

LOL... no, the five dollar stuff is more of a desert type drink with a couple "shots" of coffee(espresso) in it... but your correct. It is a stretch to call it coffee. How about we call it a "coffee drink" ?

I will confess to being guilty of occasionally standing in line and ordering a non-fat/no whip/venti mocha... . I am well aware that it costs me two punches out of my man card for every time I say it loud enough for the other people in line to realize I am an ole pro at Star bucks coffee ordering. My son in law suggests I go to 7-11 and buy regular coffee and use the flavored creamers...LOL. I don't think he understands.

I will now slink off in shame. :leaving
My usual order, in English, is quadrupal espresso (their standard espresso is a double shot to begin with) which puts the other people in line in awe of me, no man card needed. :coolgleamA:

Subject: Thank you for emailing Starbucks!

Dear Erik Marquez,

Thank you for emailing Starbucks and telling them you are outraged by their vigorous support of the NRA’s Pro-Gun Agenda.

We are gratified to know that starting on Valentine’s Day, . . .
I just sent them a note back.. wonder if they will respond?

Dear NGAC.. Thank you for providing me an easy way to denounce your organization and inform Starbucks of my support to them. Your email tool, made that possible with ease. . .
Respectfully
Erik Marquez
I got the same exact reply to my slightly differently worded email, so I suspect there is no intelligence behind the reply, just a 'bot or a brain dead human. I bet we are now part of that 14 million.

I you read their 14m claim carefully, you can bet it counts every hit they ever got, including those of us who went there to read their senseless maundering and try to reeducate them.
