Re: NEW Smith & Wesson M&P conceal carry weapon
I have a feeling I'll be picking this one up in the near future, hopefully around Father's day if possible. I've been interested in some smaller CCW options and this one really has me interested with all the positive feedback it's gotten. I went to Academy in Round Rock to look at it and the guy at ...

Holster for M&P 45 Compact
I just picked up my first M&P yesterday. I never really considered them but when I held one it just fit my hand like a glove and I had to have it. Now to find a holster... I've searched several sites and it seems there are an abundance of models for M&P 9 and 40 but I see very few options fo...

Re: Conceal Carry when going to the Range?
I shoot at Red's in Pflugerville most of the time. I always have my CCW on me while I'm at the range but I keep it holstered and fire my other guns. I don't care for the idea of putting a dirty gun back in my holster and walking out the door with it.

My wife and I did our class together with Julianna. She's also an active member of her Austin area group and her sister is now active with the Ft Worth chapter as well.

Re: 1911 carry ?
I read all these bad things about Kimber and I'll admit, had I done better research prior to dropping the money, I probably would have opted for an STI instead. However, my CDP II has been nothing but flawless. I've put around 1500 rds through it including several different brands of hollow points a...

Re: gun confiscation
If I had a gun with significant historical or sentimental value, that might be something I wouldn't carry. Aside from that, I firmly believe in carrying a quality firearm that I can depend on and know will function properly should I ever need to use it. I carry a Kimber CDP II Custom most of the tim...

Re: Galco King Tuk
Love my 1911 King Tuk for my Kimber. Great holster for the money!
I never thought about roughing up the backside of the holster though. That would really come in handy, especially when I wear shorts in the summer with it. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Accident At Reds Gun Range
Very sad situation. My wife and I were at Red's for a few hours just the night before this happened. I heard rumors from another friend that there was an "incident" that ocurred but hadn't gotten any details other than finding this post. I live in Pville and primarily shoot at Red's becaus...

I highly recommend Julianna as well. My wife is an active member with her Leander Girl and a Gun Club and we both did our CHL class with Julianna. We had a great a great experience.

Re: Questionable company policy. Need help!
Personal safety aside, it pretty much boils down to this: How badly do you need the paycheck? That about sums it up for me. The organization I work for has a simliarly worded policy along with an old gunbuster sign on the main door. I know I may not be subject to criminal prosecution if I was "...

Re: Vehicle Break Ins-Carrollton
I made a huge mistake. I exited my vehicle and started into the restaurant. When I was about 20 feet from my truck I realized I had left my briefcase with my laptop sitting in the back floorboard. I returned to the vehicle to put it under the back seat. They must have been watching as they knew exa...

Re: Vehicle Break Ins-Carrollton
I got lucky. Recently my truck was broken in to and I lost a backpack with a laptop and iPad in it. Fortunately, they didn't bother going through everything else and left my Kimber CDP untouched. It sucked losing the expensive electronics, but knowing my pistol could have been in the hands of a crim...

Re: Have you pulled your gun from its holseter (ie:postoffic
Having kids and having to go in and out of schools on a daily basis, unholstering my weapon is pretty routine for me. I always double check that the thumb safety is engaged on my 1911 before proceeding to unholster from my IWB, obviously keeping my finger off the trigger. The biggest thing for me is...
