When the subject of "printing" comes up people post this:
GC411.171 “Concealed handgun” means a handgun, the presence of which is not openly discernible to the ordinary observation of a reasonable person.
Why? That's in the GC and not part of the Penal Code, it is a definition for a term that is not used in the Penal Code.

The actual criminal law says:
Sec. 46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE HOLDER. (a) A license holder commits an offense if the license holder carries a handgun on or about the license holder's person under the authority of Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, and intentionally displays the handgun in plain view of another person in a public place.
There is no gun visible in the pictures, so why does anyone care? Bulges, lumps, even bulges and lumps that are obviously a gun mean nothing. Why does this continue to be a "thing"?
Cus peoples bees ignernt.

and nosy.

Re: Blatant Printing: would you say something?

Obviously not a tumor this time. What would you do in this situation that's more obvious it's a gun?

Recently my wife and I went indoor skydiving. One guy in particular stood out to me. He was also there to go skydiving. When he walked in with his wife, I immediately noticed a firearm on the right side of his hip. He wore a tight T-shirt, so his gun was printing. His shirt wasn’t tucked in and it wasn’t long enough to cover the barrel of his pistol either. His outside the waistband holster even allowed me to see his aftermarket fiber optic front sight.

I say this in jest. If the guy is too blind to see that major hump on his side, he is too blind to be carrying a gun.

Re: Blatant Printing: would you say something?

Never seen anywhere that said bulges are illegal. Still would mind my own business even though he's not doing a very good job of hiding that he has something under his shirt.

I will tell you that as long the gun is somewhat covered, it is NBD in the LEO world...
May be but unconcealed w/o a badge visible could result in a MWAG call. Common sense says conceal well or display a badge.
And blood will run in the streets! This must be stopped...for the children..

If it only saves one life....

Why do people keep going back to the off duty LEO baloney?

According to friends at the SLPD, LEO's are not exempt from needing a CHL to conceal carry on or off duty and are subject to following the same laws the rest of us have to follow.

I do not believe you are getting good information. Can you provide a link or something more solid than hearsay?
You might be correct! See this link http://gunningtx.wordpress.com/2009/12/23/cops-carry/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Blatant Printing: would you say something?

There's a difference if he accidentally had his gun uncovered and if he obviously wasn't trying very hard to conceal it. If it was obvious his shirt blew up and the gun was uncovered without him being aware, I would probably tell him.

Guess I come down to whether it's making him aware or trying to correct behavior. The later, I would mind my own business.

Re: Blatant Printing: would you say something?

I'd mind my own business. I'm not much for trying to police or advise others as I don't appreciate them doing it to me.
