Throw your handgun up on the dash next time you are driving around town or get stopped by a cop and let me know how it works out for you.

Doesn't it say traveling directly to or from your vehicle or home? If that's the case, once you arrive at your vehicle, you need to conceal it per MPA. Right? What am I missing about your question?

Motorist Protection Act
(a) A person commits an offense if the person [he]
intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or
her person a handgun, illegal knife, or club if the person is not:
(1) on the person's own premises or premises under the
person's control; or
(2) inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle
that is owned by the person or under the person's control.
(a-1) A person commits an offense if the person
intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or
her person a handgun in a motor vehicle that is owned by the person
or under the person's control at any time in which:
(1) the handgun is in plain view; or

Your original and subsequent questions were answered on the first page of this thread within the first few posts. I even asked a question I knew the answer to just to clarify it for you.

It's the absence of a prohibition that allows one to open carry on ones own real property.
