I can remember back in the 80's, the ranch manager for the ranch between Odessa and Crane we leased for hunting wore a gun everywhere he went. He had an old style revolver and a cowboy style holster. I always assumed he just wore it on the ranch until I saw him in town at a local cafe wearing it. Asked my buddy about it and he said old Jim, or whatever his name was, wears that thing everywhere he goes and nobody cares.

Definitely not all cops. The family members in my family that are or have been cops did not and they despise those that did, as do I.

Looks like there may be more to the Grisham arrest story.

I'm sure some of the cops on the board won't see a problem and some of the mere citizens will.

It would be so much easier to garner support for a bill to limit where long guns can be carried like Charles is saying than it would be for an open carry bill.
