October 29 - Took Class
October 30 - Mailed Packet (No tracking info - sorry)
December 11 - Rec'd pin code
January 11 - License issued

Not too bad for state run system.

Is there a such thing as this law? (or whatever it is?) I went to the Tarrant county sub-courthouse off Granbury Road in South Fort worth, and I swear that they had a sign that said 30.05...blah blah blah... Chalk it up to Instructor misinformation if I missed this sign posting law. I don't know how...

Sorry... The charge as read in court was "Posession of an Unlawful Weapon, misdemeanor Class C" The knife was not concealed. This was over 20 years ago. Was it some local charge? I was a cop 20 years ago, and there was no such state law. Regardless, it was a LONNNNNNG time ago, an should ...

Greetings-- You can request your own criminal history (background check) from the DPS. There is a fee involved. You also have to submit a set of fingerprint cards. If there is any history on your record, this should show it. It *should* also show the charge, date, and court of jurisdiction. However...
