Has anyone considered approaching the Collin County District Attorney about requesting an opinion from the Texas Attorney General as to whether Plano ISD's interpretation is correct? While an opinion is not binding law, I would be shocked if the school district doesn't back down if the Texas AG finds their interpretation incorrect. I don't think anyone needs to go to jail to get this resolved.
